Both Apple and Google have specific guidelines for getting your app listed in the store. Not adhering to these will likely result in app rejection. We've summarized the essence of these guidelines so you can ensure your apps get published without any hassle.

Apple

Apple has its own set of rules and requirements store owners must follow, failing which their apps get rejected. We understand that it's frustrating to not understand how to fix these issues, so we thought we'd put together a little article to aid you.

  1. Web View Present on the App

Remove or edit the web links for product categories with proper category links during customization. Also, make sure that the products are available for Vajro.

  2. Improper Description Format

Make sure that the description gives a clear idea about what the app sells and the purpose of the app instead of stories on how they started business and personal
history. Also make sure that the app name isn't mentioned in the description, and the description itself does not contain repetitive words.

  3. Profanity

This one's a no-brainer. No profanity or adult content in the descriptions. Removing adult products from the store, if any, would also help.

  4. Improperly Enabling Apple Pay

Enabling Apple pay without letting the Vajro team know could lead to rejection. Make sure you let us know if you require Apple Pay so that we can assist you with it.

  5. Privacy Policy

Ask the Production team to enable the privacy feature and roll out an update.

  6. Terms and Condition Page Not Loading

Make sure the right link has been used from your website for the Terms and conditions page

  7. Android Content Reference in the Description or the App

The solution is simple. Just remove the references and you'll be good to go.

  8. Team Name Not Matching The App Name/Authorization Issues

All you have to do is provide an authorization letter stating the
app belongs to you with your signature.

  9. Checkout Issues

Go to your Shopify dashboard and check if your products are available on Vajro.

  10. Repetitive Words in the Description

Edit your description and remove repetitive words while setting up the Store
    listing.

  11. Incomplete Sentences/Improper Formatting in the Description

Go through your description and vet it for grammatical and formatting errors.

  12. Adult/Explicit Content, Adult Toys

We've mentioned this already, but adult content is a huge no-no. Make sure your app does not contain explicit images or words. Same goes for Adult Toys as well. Apple's policy would get your app rejected if Adult content or toys are found in the description or the app itself.

  13. Tobacco and CBD products

Due to Apple's policy against tobacco and CBD products, apps that contain products related to such items get rejected. Remove products related to CBD and tobacco reference in description, and the app itself.

  14. Spam

Just check for spams on the app and remove them. That's all!
