Sharing the API key is crucial as it improves app performance through app updates, strengthens app security, and streamlines app management. This help document provides detailed step-by-step instructions on how to create and share the API key for iOS apps.
Step 1: Log in to App Store Connect account.
Step 2: Click on Users and Access.
Step 3: Click on the Integrations tab.
Step 4: Under Keys, choose App Store Connect API, and click on the + button.
Step 5: The Generate API Key popup will appear.
Step 6: Input Vajro Mobile App Builder as the name for the API key.
Step 7: Under Access, select the Admin role for the key and click Generate.
Step 8: The new key's name, KEY ID, download link, and other information will appear.
Step 9: Copy the Issuer ID and KEY ID. Note that this will be required during the key submission.
Step 10: Save the API key as a .p8 file by clicking the Download button.
Step 11: Navigate to the Business tab
Step 12: Copy the 8 digit Vendor#. It should be there right next to your business name & address. Note that this will be required during the key submission.
Step 13: Upload these via Vajro Admin dashboard:
a) Issuer ID and KEY ID copied in Step 9
b) API key downloaded as a p8 file in Step 10
c) Vendor# copied in Step 12

⚠️ Dashboard Warning : Action Required
If you see a warning in your dashboard, it usually means there is a required update from Apple that needs your attention.
Click on "here" to know what is pending
To resolve this and keep your app running smoothly, please follow the steps laid out above to accept the new license agreement.
Note: Once you have clicked "Agree," it typically takes 24 hours for the warning to disappear from your dashboard.
What happens if I ignore the Apple red banner?
If the agreement is not signed:
You cannot push any new updates (like icon changes or bug fixes).Your app may eventually be removed from the App Store by Apple.
