Android API Key Automation

How to set up and automate your Android API Key for Google Play Console via the Superfans dashboard.

The new automated setup for the Android API Key replaces manual configuration, reducing setup time from hours to 5-10 minutes with automatic verification.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • A Google Developer Account with Google Play Console access.

  • Admin permissions on your Google Play Developer account.

Access to the Superfans dashboard.


Step by step Setup Process

Step 1: Invite Automation Account

Navigate to your Google Play Console and invite the automation account with the following details:

Email Address

Permission Level

Admin

Important: Note down the email address you used to invite the automation account. You can find this by clicking on your profile in the top-right corner of Google Play Console - the email will be displayed at the bottom. This is your
Invited Email which will be used to verify your developer account in the Superfans dashboard.

Step 2: Verify Ownership & Configure Developer Account

Return to the Superfans dashboard and complete the following configuration:

  1. Locate the Developer / Invited Email field

  2. Enter the email address you used to invite the automation account

  3. Click to Next

Note: The automation process typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete. During this time, if the developer account is not shown please wait sometime, and comeback bit later, then you will be able to proceed.

If the account is not yet associated with your store, the system will send an OTP (One-Time Password) to verify the email address. Once verified, the automation process begins.


Step 3: Verification & Completion

Once verification is complete, you should see the developer account associated with this email. If the invited account does not appear, it may still be processing; please check again in 5–10 minutes.


Select Developer account that you want to connect, then

Choose your app from the list

  • For new apps: Select "New App"

  • For migrations: Select the respective existing app

Click “Submit” to finish this process.
