Enabling Product Videos on Shopify

A quick guide working with Product Videos on your Shopify console

Here's how you enable Product Videos on Shopify:

Step 1: Head over to your Shopify admin console and select All products from the Navigation menu

Step 2: Select the products that you want to have videos added to

Step 3: Click on Add Media to upload the product video

Things to keep in mind while uploading your video:

You can either upload a video or embed a YouTube link. When you upload videos, make sure that

  • The video is no longer than 60 seconds
  • The video file is not larger than 1 GB
  • The video resolution is no more than 4K (4096 x 2160 px)
  • The video type is either MP4 or MOV

NOTE: These requirements do not apply if you’re embedding a YouTube video.

For Power Premium plan users, the feature will be auto enabled. Growth plan users can get the feature on request.
